Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. We utilize a client-centered approach unique to individual needs and work towards creating a strong therapeutic alliance, in a safe and nurturing environment. All sessions will take a collaborative approach and will integrate evidence-based practices.

What to expect during your visit
During the initial psychotherapy session, you can expect to work with the therapist to explore your presenting concerns, mental and/or physical health history, past traumas, relationships, as well as other areas of your life that may be impacting your wellness. You will have the space to share at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Closer to the end of the session, you and therapist will work together to set therapeutic goals which will be worked on in subsequent sessions.

Based on your personal goals, you can expect to develop multiple skills and strategies to support your well-being. You will also develop greater awareness that will aid in recognizing any areas that may be holding you back. Your goals may change as your life and mental health evolves over time; therefore, the counsellor will check in with you to re-evaluate your goals as needed.

The frequency of the therapy sessions will depend on your concerns and can be explored during initial consultation or counselling session. Homework or take-home worksheets may be provided between sessions to further support your mental health journey.

Our therapist can support you with the issues listed below. If your presenting concern is not listed below, please reach out to us as these are just some of the concerns we offer support with.
